Boughton Monchelsea Place online: information and bookings

Boughton Monchelsea Place is an exquisite venue which may be hired throughout the year. This beautiful 16th century manor house enjoys perhaps the best view in Kent, looking down over its own deer park and some 15 miles of unspoilt countryside. Click here for a detailed description.

The house is privately owned and is still used as a family home. This helps to give a special atmosphere of intimacy to any event.

Boughton Monchelsea Place is available for a number of different uses, ranging from corporate events to weddings, conferences, fairs, lunches, teas, guided tours and film shoots.

We schedule a small number of public events during the year. At all other times, Boughton Monchelsea Place is closed to the general public, so if you hire this venue, you are guaranteed exclusive use for your special event.

Weddings and Conferences
WEDDINGS NEAR MAIDSTONE, KENT
This venue is licensed for the performance of civil marriage ceremonies. Unlike many other venues, we only book one ceremony per day. The vaulted Entrance Hall, where the marriage ceremonies are performed, can comfortably take 50 or 60 guests seated, with room for up to 20 more standing. If the weather is fine, the bride and groom can choose to make their vows under the canopy of the Tudor porch, with guests seated or standing on the lawn. In this case, the number of guests is virtually unlimited.

CONFERENCES NEAR MAIDSTONE, KENT
The house itself is an ideal venue for small to medium-sized awaydays/lunches/seminars/receptions etc.while marquee receptions for up to 750 people can be held on the lawn. We also have a large open-field site for outdoor activities and events.
