Cothay Manor & Gardens still retain the essence of medieval England. The manor virtually unchanged since it was built at the end of the Wars of the Roses in 1485. The romantic garden is one of Somerset’s jewels. The 12 acre gardens are divided into many rooms – each room a garden within a garden. Here there is something for all garden lovers.

The tea room is open for light lunches, soft drinks, ice creams, cream teas, cakes, tea/coffee.

Weddings and Conferences
Three rooms in the Manor house can be used for break-away rooms for managers. A conference table in the Great Chamber seats 12. Coffee is served on arrival, with mid-morning coffee in the conference room, a light lunch served in the dining room and coffee thereafter. We have a separate Gatehouse with seating for up to 50 for lectures, seminars or larger conference meetings, etc. Please telephone the Administrator for more information

Opening Times
Gardens: Open to the public Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sun, & BHs from 1st Sunday in April till end September. 11am-5pm, last entry 4.30pm. Adults £7.00, Children (under 12) £3.50. Open to Groups (20+) by appointment every day of garden season.

House: Open to Groups (20+) by appointment every day of the year, except Christmas week. Sunday House Tours for the general public at 11.45am and 2.15 pm most Sundays from April to end September. No children. £6.50 but requires garden entry during the garden season.

Further Information
Cothay is available for private dinner parties of between 8 to 12 people, throughout the year.
