The magnificent Elizabethen Manor House overlooks the Avon Valley on the edge of the New Forest, just north of Fordingbridge. The house was completed in 1583 and looks today much as it would have done to its’ original owners.

Visitors can enjoy seeing a wide variety of paintings as well as tapestries, porcelain, 17th Century needlework and a rare James 1 carpet. There are also fine examples of period furniture in the house.

Breamore Countryside Museum provides a fascinating insight into the days when the village was self-sufficient.

Visitors can enjoy full size replicas and see full size replicas of village shops and the museum boasts one of the finest collections of steam powered farm machinery, tractors, barn machinery and historical tools.

As a filming location, Breamore House and grounds are unique and very special. We are always very encouraging of filming here and have a well established history of productions for film and television that have put Breamore’s many special qualities to good use.

Among the productions filmed here include “Churchill at War”, “The Woodlanders”, “Children of the New Forest” and “Florence Nightingale”.
