Why not visit Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. It’s your chance to explore one of the England’s oldest market towns, experience the 900 year old weekly street and one of the last surviving Cattle Markets, visit St Mary’s Parish church, follow our Heritage Trail around the medieval streets and historic buildings, sample delicious Stilton cheese and watch the traditional hand-raising of the famous Melton Mowbray Pork Pie.

But Melton Mowbray is not just about cheese and pies, the surrounding countryside has lots to offer, in the form of cycling, walking or horse-riding opportunities. The Borough of Melton has an interesting and exciting array of attractions, for both fine and wet weather conditions, including Twinlakes Family attraction, Wymondham Windmill, tearoom and craft workshops, Belvoir Castle with its sculpture garden, jousting competitions, maize maze and extensive events programme, Go-Karting centers, leisurely, scenic walks along the 33-mile Grantham Canal in the Vale of Belvoir or climb up onto Burrough Hill the site of the Iron Age Hill Fort. The Framland Church Trail is a collection of 14 churches in the Borough of Melton all worthy of a visit and are open to visitors daily.
