Nestled against acres of National Park woodlands Blenheim Lodge boasts panoramic views of Lake Windermere and the mountains and fells beyond. All the views on our page are taken from the house. Secluded but NOT isolated in hidden Bowness on Windermere we are conveniently situated from the M6 motorway about 19 miles. Whether you are travelling en route or on business why not take advantage of a quiet location where you can enjoy beautiful views and homely hospitality before heading off to your next destination If you are a tourist and require proximity to various attractions as well as a tranquil place to rest after a hard day's sightseeing or if you simply desire a quiet retreat where you can relax in peace and listen to the birds sing do come and stay with us You will find a friendly welcome Built in 1868 Blenheim Lodge has 11 bedrooms with en suite private facilities. Each room has a quality toiletries and luxury towels refreshment tray colour T.V. with remote control and access to hair dryers. Our single twin and family rooms are individually appointed many with French antique furniture like those you may see in glossy homestyle magazines. The Langdale has a canopy double bed with panoramic views of Lake Windermere. You can sit in the huge triple floor to ceiling bay windows to admire the glorious views. Decorated in Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings The Fairfield has a wonderful Louis XV suite with a large 5' bed. An antique daybed set in the triple floor to ceiling bay windows offers an irresistible resting place to enjoy the stunning lake and mountain views. The Dalesway is a romantic French boudoir decorated with Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings. A fabulous Louis XV double bed with roccoco details and a bergere daybed intact with its original paint and decoration are complemented by pretty French wall lights with crystal drops. The Dalesway overlooks the National Park from bay windows creating an 'away from it all' feeling amidst beautiful countryside. If you are lucky you will see the wild deer grazing. Or enjoy your beauty sleep in a stunning solid brass bed from the upmarket shop And So To Bed. An imposing piece of furniture this bed has a bespoke pocket sprung mattress set and is ultra comfortable A pretty room with Lake views decorated with Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings The Blue Room has lovely French painted antique furniture with echoes of times past. Situated on the same floor with views to the north of Lake Windermere is a small pretty double room decorated with striking Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings. A period wardrobe and French wall lights give a cosy feel to this room with its romantic white painted iron bed from Feather and Black quaint vintage chic These rooms are particularly accessible to people who prefer ground floor accommodation. If you are visiting with friends or family or simply wish to enjoy the welcoming glow of a fireplace why not use our lounge Our lounge overlooks the Lake and you can sit in the bay windows to enjoy a cup of tea or a nice glass of wine. We can even make you some hot chocolate Our breakfast menu offers quality local produce including handmade sausages and bacon. Our milk and eggs are delivered fresh from the dairy each morning the milk is still bottled and comes the old fashioned way topped with cream Our eggs are large and have that tasty yolky flavour from large orangey yolks. We also offer a choice of homebaked fresh from the oven croissants served with equally delectable muffins. Some happy guests wrote in our guest book 'Five minutes' walk from town but a million miles from anywhere'. So if you enjoy the hustle and bustle of town we are only 5 minutes' walk from the shops restaurants pubs local tourist attractions and other amenities such as banks post office etc. The Lake and pier are 5 7 minutes' walk from us as are the buses. We also offer free membership at a private country club just 7 minutes' walk from us. There you can enjoy the swimming pool sauna jacuzzi gym squash and badminton courts table tennis and snooker lounge bar solarium and other beauty treatments which we can help you arrange. Blenheim Lodge is great for people who enjoy activities. We have the Dales Way walk next to us and we are the first guest house off the Dales Way. Many walkers enjoy the comforts of our home as they walk in for a welcome mug of tea and a soak in the bath We have outside taps for muddy boots and a drying room for wet or damp boots clothes and jackets. We are cyclist and biker friendly with private level ground for parking bicycles and motorbikes. For the fisherman we offer 2 free WAADA fishing permits on a first come first served basis. We are also golfer friendly and can arrange tee times for you. We can also help you organise walks and sightseeing tours that will pick you up from our door. At Blenheim Lodge we believe in offering a quality service and that extra personal touch For those celebrating a special occasions we can arrange flowers wine champagne and luxury handmade chocolate truffles in your room for your arrival.
