Moggerhanger Park has recently undergone a major restoration project and received an award for the best restoration of a country house from the Georgian Group in 2005. The house is now open to the public each summer, although our Tea Rooms, Evening Restaurant and Woodland Walk are open throughout the year.
Moggerhanger Park is a Grade 1 listed Georgian Country House set in 33 acres of parkland. The house is of considerable architectural interest. Originally designed by Sir John Soane, it is recognised as the most complete surviving example of his work. The grounds, originally landscaped by Humphry Repton, are currently being restored. Many of the original features are still in existence including spacious walled gardens, an icehouse and a peaceful woodland walk.
Guided Tours of the historic rooms run daily throughout the summer months. The tranquil Tea Rooms, Evening Restaurant and Woodland Walk are open throughout the year.
Moggerhanger House also has 3 executive conference suites making it an ideal venue for conferences, promotions and corporate entertainment. The private restaurant and drawing rooms provide a unique and tranquil setting for special family celebrations or for business functions. Our wide range of menus caters for every occasion, from champagne receptions to formal evening dinners.
Opening Times
Tea Rooms: open daily 11am – 4pm throughout the year.
Restaurant: Friday and Saturday evenings.
Guided Tours of Historic Rooms: 12pm and 2.30pm daily from mid June to mid Sept.
