Set in the award-winning Wilton Lodge Park, Hawick Museum has a wide variety of permanent displays exploring local themes, natural sciences, militaria and the history of Hawick’s world-renowned hosiery and knitwear industry. A particular highlight is the Jimmie Guthrie Room, which explores the life and career of this 1930s motorcycling ace.

Throughout the year there is an exciting programme of short-duration displays and the Scott Gallery hosts a wide range of visual art exhibitions.

Wheelchair access to ground floor and from April 2007, to the Scott Gallery.
