Holmfirth, the picturesque village made famous in 'The Last of the Summer Wine', and Haworth Parsonage, home of the literary Bronte family are just two of the nearby visitor attractions . The George was built in the Victorian period around 1851; it is an elegant Grade II listed building situated on the main square in Huddersfield town centre. It has a friendly atmosphere and is popular as a meeting place with local people.
