North Cornwall
Come to North Cornwall and discover a rugged Coastline of dramatic cliffs, coves, fishing villages and clean sandy beaches bordering a hinterland of farmsteads, river valleys and market towns, medieval castles, stately homes and gardens, and the beguiling beauty of Bodmin Moor.
Reaching from the old, walled town of Launceston in the east, to Bodmin in the west, North Cornwall is bounded by more than 60 miles of Atlantic Heritage Coast. Steeped in history, its unspoilt landscapes are scattered with quiet hamlets, picturesque harbours and bustling market towns as well as traces of the distant past; mysterious ancient stones and Celtic crosses are a constant reminder of times gone by.
Whatever time of year visitors arrive they will come across traditional celebrations, carnivals and events, many bringing the area’s history to life. Over the centuries, artists, poets and writers have been attracted to North Cornwall. With soft golden sands, sparkling blue seas and visitor attractions for all ages, including the world famous Eden Project, North Cornwall is the ideal place to visit.
North Cornwall is also a joy to visit in the spring when colourful wild flowers bloom in the hedgerows. In autumn and winter the mild climate ensures visitors can still enjoy the beauty of the area. The unspoilt and dramatic landscape is a walkers paradise and the area also has excellent facilities for riding, golf and fishing, a number of indoor leisure centres and good quality accommodation to enhance your stay.
