The unique Suffolk Coastal area of the county of Suffolk extends from Felixstowe in the south to Walberswick and Blythburgh in the north. With 40 miles of Heritage Coast set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is a feeling of peace and tranquillity even at the height of summer and it is an ideal place to unwind and explore the many attractive towns, villages and rivers. There is a constant presence of water from the coast and the five rivers, which gives a romantic and mysterious atmosphere to the district. The inland areas have many secrets to be discovered; churches, castles, gardens, windmills, museums, tide mills, vineyards and Anglo-Saxon sites. All of these provide the visitor with many happy hours of visiting and finding new interests.

Aldeburgh is a small fishing town, unspoilt by modern times. You will still find fishermen pulling their boats up onto the beach and selling their fresh catch.
Felixstowe is an Edwardian resort that has retained its charm over the ages and has a seafront over 4 miles long, with an excellent paved promenade local museum and historic fort.

An attractive town steeped in history on the banks of the river Deben, Woodbridge has many fine buildings, a local museum with changing exhibitions and a picturesque Tide Mill, probably one of the most photographed scenes in England! Close by is the famous Anglo-saxon burial ground of Sutton Hoo.
You will find a good range of places to stay, from luxury hotels to simple bed and breakfasts in private homes and if you prefer self-catering, there are cottages, farms, flats, and houses.

Whatever style of accommodation you require, you should have no difficulty in finding something suitable, along the Suffolk Coast.
