Merseyside can be found in the heart of England’s North West bordering Lancashire,and Greater Manchester.
Liverpool, it’s principle city having been awarded European capital of Culture 2008, is on its way to becoming a premier European city break destination. The city has a rich legacy in sport and music with both Liverpool and Everton football clubs, Aintree Racecourse (home of the Grand National) and, of course, arguably the most famous band ever - The Beatles.
